About Us

A Brief History

The Peters Twp Hockey Club chartered in 1991 has geographic boundaries of McMurray and Venetia called Peters Twp and located in Washington County PA about 14 miles South of Downtown Pittsburgh.    Our hockey program consists of over 200 players from Pre-K through High School with a steeped tradition of Section, Penguins Cup and Pennsylvania State Championships (see our Trophy Case link).   We play in the PA Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL).  Our hockey club is by far one of the largest and most successful in  Pennsylvania.   Our alumni have gone on to play in the NHL, NCAA Division I, Juniors and ACHA College (see our Alumni link).

Goals and Philosophy of Peters Twp Hockey Club

To build character in our youth while teaching and promoting ice hockey.  To encourage all persons who participate within the club to follow and uphold the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, fair play and self improvement.  To provide an opportunity for players at the developmental levels to learn the basic skills of ice hockey without an over emphasis on winning.  To provide an environment that encourages players to move on to the next level in ice hockey after they graduate from our program.
